Firms that have competed in New Ventures reported in a survey that over 800 jobs and $51 million have been created through their success.
2012’s winner was MediaCore and CEO Stuart Bowness had this to say about their experience in the competition: “we can’t recommend enough that companies who are starting out grab on to the opportunity New Ventures provides to help navigate a competitive industry.”
Scott Foubister of Vocaba, a business that has residence at the Kamloops Innovation Centre, has taken part in the New Ventures competition: “New Ventures BC taught me to ask the hard questions about my business sooner rather than later, and it gave me the support I needed to start answering them.”
