Event Details

Kamloops Innovation hosts one major technology, innovation or entrepreneurial event each year for the region’s most celebrated entrepreneurs, startup founders, industry leaders and disruptors. This means we want to involve as much of the community as we can to bring together the best-of-the-best, because of that we are excited to be working with many exciting local food trucks, craft breweries, wineries, and entertainment!

Location

Kamloops Innovation is nationally recognized as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurial activity in BC’s Interior and with our Tech Fest event, we want to bring together the community to celebrate new technology while honoring the innovations of the past.

With this in mind, we invite you to jump aboard the historic 2141 Steam Train located in downtown Kamloops. A cutting-edge innovation for the time, the 2141 was one of 25 trains of her kind built for the Canadian Northern Railway in 1912. Originally used for freight the restored steam train is now an iconic interactive piece of Canadian history that will become the backdrop for our exploration of modern tech used by the startups and entrepreneurs in our community.
