MVT Series | Positioning Statements: How to tell your company’s story
A positioning statement is a series of sentences that define what your company is, what makes it unique, and what its value is to your audience. Not generally public facing this statement helps business owners identify their company’s core values and align their marketing to keep a cohesive messaging across all their branding and meet their business goals.
In simple terms, the positioning statement is a phrase that is used internally to help your organization understand the benefits your products or services provide to your target customers. It states how you are different from your competitors and why your audience should choose your business over your competitors. Everything from the website page copy, advertisements, images, calls to action, and slogans are all ultimately based on your positioning statement.
This introductory session is about taking your business idea and being able to condense it into a short and coercive pitch. Whether you’re connecting with a potential customer, partner, investor, or friend, being able to communicate your idea effectively is very important.
At the end of this workshop, you will know how to put together a compelling short pitch and be able to communicate an idea effectively, the first stepping stones to starting a business!
What is the MVT Series?
The MVT Series or Market Validation Training Series is an educational course offered by Kamloops Innovation as the precursor to our VAP program. This series is Free and open to any individual, company or student who is looking to start their own business.
